Cleansers Many cleansers can destroy the skin’s hydro lipid film & leave the skin clean but rough; these cleansers often contain detergent surfactants & are found in the form of foaming, gel or solvent cleansers. When the skin’s surface is depleted of natural oil, the skins natural defence mechanism is to produce more oil, creating an unnaturally overactive oil supply. Another negative factor associated with the depleted barrier function (oil layer) is the intercellular fluid evaporates & epidermal cells shed at a quickened rate, thus thinning & weakeningthe skin.A by-product of this process is also the accumulation of cellular debris within the skins pores; blocked pores prevent the oil release to the skin’s surface. The blockages that are associated with this can be caused from incorrect cleansing methods (As mentioned above). |

Night oils are to be used as a nightly moisturising treatment in place of a moisturiser. The main function of a Night oil is to feed & nourish the deeper layers within the skin. These intense products are formulated using 100% natural ingredients; therefore the deeper tissues within the skin are not exposed to synthetic chemicals that can cause harmful & destructive damage. As natural plant oils are compatible with our own oils, they bind together allowing these potent ingredients to charge the skin on a cellular level. Natural hydration will be heightened as oil will naturally give the skin volume. |

Skin juice moisturisers are designed to be used of a day-time to increase the action of the barrier function. The binding of the ingredients allow for the product to be retained on the skin’s surface & slowly released throughout the day, whilst providing the adequate protection the skin needs from air conditioning, make-up, pollution & the loss of internal moisture that leads to dehydration. |
